The second of two preseason games, the Timbers U23 were able to take down the Southern Oregon Starphire. Despite taking an early lead in the 24th minute, the game turned into a tough defensive battle on both ends of the field. Despite the Starphires persistence, the Timbers U23 were able to secure the win, 1-0.
