Northern Harrier

Battling over a mid-afternoon snack, this northern harrier and a cooper's hawk were out of distance for my camera gear. Despite making the initial catch, the cooper's hawk was able to snatch the snake away from the northern Harrier.

Great Blue Heron

With the sun setting, this Heron was attempting to make it's last catch of the day. It's slow and smooth movements ensured that it would be able to sneak up on unsuspecting prey.
